winona, minnesota

hey everyone, just hanging out in my apartment room and i decided to do a little update. i finally got internet working and since winona isn't the most exciting place to hang out, i'm bored...

travel wise everything was pretty chill. i got lucky and had a direct flight from seattle to minneapolis, so that's always good...but then the fun really began...my flight got into minneapolis at 2:28pm local time. the shuttle to winona didn't arrive until 6pm, i hurried to get my bags before i ate so i wouldn't stress about somebody jacking my bag only to realize as i get it that i can't get back into the part of the airport where all the restaurants and shops are...awesome. then i find out that winona is in the middle of nowhere (abot 2 hour drive from minneapolis) so we don't get into the apartment that the company has rented for us until around 8:30pm local time...

so i get to my room only to realize that i have a room by myself. no roomy, just me and i'm bored...the internet for some reason won't connect so the laptop i bought to play on the trip is completely worthless atm...and i was not happy at all while all this is happening. add the fact that i lose 2 hours of sleep going from pacific time to central and that class starts at 7:30am, and also the fact that i miss the wife and kid so much already it's ridiculous only after 1 night away and it's definitely not adding up to good start yet...

so i finally get to sleep around 1am and i sleep horribly and wake up randomly at 3:30am randomly and i'm stuck...not like can't move stuck, but stuck to the sheets...i didn't realize it but the bed wasn't put together and there is a rubber sheet on the bed (wtf?!) and i'm honestly stuck to it like u stick to leather...lol wonderful start to the trip...

class was way overwhelming as i am brand new to all of this and really have as little experience as you can imagine...so i have a lot to soak up and learn, but i gotta start some where right...

had my 1st session in a few days because of travel and no internet, and it went meh...i can really only play 9 tables on the laptop, and even then the tables are pretty damn small...but at least i'll be grinding lots while i'm here...especially since we have no class this weekend and nothing to do...
